Zep Memory + Voicent AI
Voice workflows that actually work — not just call transfers.
Zep gives Voicent long-term memory. Agents recall who a caller is, what happened last time, and business facts from the knowledge graph — so every call sounds like it remembers.
Overview
Zep is the memory that makes Voicent agents feel like they know your customers. get_user_memory recalls a caller’s history and facts, ensure_user_exists and create_session set up the per-caller thread, and add_session_messages writes the conversation back so the next call remembers this one. search_user_graph and search_group_graph query a knowledge graph for personal or business facts, and add_group_data teaches it new ones. Seven actions that turn a cold, repetitive call into a warm continuation — the caller isn’t re-interrogated, and the agent speaks from real history.
What your agent can do with Zep Memory
- get_user_memory
- ensure_user_exists
- create_session
- add_session_messages
- search_group_graph
- search_user_graph
- add_group_data
How it works
- On answer, ensure_user_exists and get_user_memory load the caller’s history and facts.
- search_user_graph / search_group_graph pull relevant personal or business facts to personalize the call.
- add_session_messages writes the conversation back so the next call picks up where this one ended.
What the agent actually says
A workflow using Zep Memory
In practice
Every call informed by the last one.
Returning callers skip the interrogation. Voicent reads the caller's history from Zep and picks up where the last call left off — measurably shorter, warmer calls.
